Did you know LGBT couples are more likely to adopt older, children of color and disable children than straight couples? LGBT couples tend to adopt ‘undesired’ children more (basically kids no one else wants.)

This is so important because I remember being in the system and being so scared that I would never be adopted or loved or whatever and seriously just fucking let them, take the fear out of finding a family

Can we also normalize adoption more? I know not everyone can afford it/do it, but if you can, please don’t be afraid to make this your first option, not the “back-up“.

Okay I really love this! Yes it makes light of the seriousness of their jobs but just imagine what a teaching aide these could be! Kids would really dig it and it could be so much fun! I especially like that they have posed like action figures because in reality they are action figures, hero’s in our communities. So much awesome :)

Literally my only complaint is all the medical paraphernalia on the floor. Someone better have resterilized it all.

idk what introvert needs to hear this but please check yourself when ur saying stuf like “staying in your room all weekend by yourself watching netflix is much better than going out and being social” because speaking from experience it’s very easy to confuse being introverted and isolating yourself to cope with anxiety and depression please reach out to your friends and make an effort to live your life and say yes to things, there’s no harm in enjoying your own company but please try to avoid shutting yourself away because you’ve convinced yourself that you’re better alone it’s seriously a recipe for loneliness and will really fuck with your self worth

I’ve seen more garbage relationships than healthy loving ones. And I’m not even saying couples with no issues. I’ve seen couples with issues who are still rooted in love and respect. But that is so few and far between

The lesson to me is that being in a relationship shouldn’t be the goal of my life. Being healthy and happy is the goal of my life. And if I’m with someone that helps me feel more healthy and happy, that’s a win. If I feel less healthy and happy I don’t need to be with them.

That has been the rubric for me in my relationship. I don’t need perfection. I don’t even need my partner to make me happy. I want to be healthy and happy, and because my fiancé just adds to that, it feels good.
